Rongbuk Glacier, Tibet

This 360° panorama of the Rongbuk Glacier was taken in spring 2000 above Everest Base Camp in Tibet. From Everest Base Camp, situated at 5150m, mountaineers move on to Advanced Base Camp. ABC is situated at 6500m and is the true base for mountaineers attempting Everest. It is reached by crossing the Rongbuk glacier in two tiring days.

The North Face of Everest can be seen for the first section of the walk.
