Everest Base Camp, Tibet
This 360° panorama was taken in spring 2000 at Everest Base Camp in Tibet. All expeditions spend time acclimatising on this wide open space at 5150m before moving on to Advanced Base Camp. The walled bunker is home to Chinese officials and liason officers who monitor and co-ordinate all activities on the mountain.
Everest's impressive North Face rises above the plain at the end of the Rongbuk glacier.
